UAE-based rental company becomes first in the region to offer the JLG 1500AJP, JLG’s largest articulating self-propelled boom lift

AJI Rentals expands fleet with 8 new MEWPs from JLG

UAE-based AJI Heavy Equipment Rentals (AJI Rentals) has taken delivery of eight JLG aerial work platforms in a move to expand its fleet to meet the growing demand for specialist access equipment in the region.

The delivery comprises three X17J Plus and one X26J Plus compact crawler boom lifts, three T12E Plus Toucan vertical mast lifts and one 1500AJP articulated boom lift — the first one available in the region, and the largest JLG articulating self-propelled boom lift in AJI Rental’s fleet.

Dean Jones, managing director, AJI Rentals, said: “With this most recent purchase, we have grown our rental fleet to more than 500 access platform machines, all from world-leading manufacturers like JLG, to help users reach elevated work areas in a safer, faster and easier way than other methods.

“We take pride in offering innovative products and services that add value for our customers and finding productive solutions for challenging applications, such as completing work at height in those hard-to-reach areas and confined spaces.”

Ian Hume, JLG’s sales director in MEAIR, said that by adding these eight new JLG models to their fleet, AJI Rentals is well-stocked to meet the increasing demand for the unique, high-quality rental equipment in the region.

Hume explained: “The Toucan 12E Plus possesses incredible outreach on a narrow base, allowing it into more difficult-to-access areas inside industrial sites, offering a distinct advantage in productivity.”
Jones added: “We already own several Toucan 10E units, and our customers are extremely happy with their performance, so it was an easy decision for us to add the 12E Plus models.”

Hume noted that although there are similar sizes and models of aerial lifts available in the market, JLG’s new generation equipment has developed a lot over time, being more compact and easier to manage.
These types of advancements, added Jones, led AJI Rentals to choose the 1500AJP, the first rental company in the region to offer this model.

“The JLG 1500AJP is a welcome addition to our Ultra Boom fleet and will be deployed on larger commercial and oil and gas projects,” said Jones.

Established in 2016 and headquartered in Dubai, AJI Rentals offers a complete range of powered access equipment, telehandlers, cleaning equipment and forklifts, and has a specialist division focusing on mini-cranes and lifting.

AJI Rentals also offer equipment sales and service maintenance contracts, as well as comprehensive site inspections and on-site familiarisation to operators who have received training at their IPAF approved training facility.
