Dubai Municipality awards contract to facilities management heavyweight for Al Mizhar 1, Al Mizhar 2, Muhaisnah 1 and Nad Al Hamar districts

Imdaad has secured a major contract from Dubai Municipality that will see the UAE-based facilities management (FM) services company provide waste management, recycling and infrastructure cleaning services across four districts of Dubai.

The contract is Imdaad’s third with Dubai’ civic body and the FM services provider said it expands the company’s reach across the emirate, furthering its standing as “one of the UAE’s leading names in FM services”.

Under the terms of the three-year contract, Imdaad will deploy a 99-strong workforce to provide a comprehensive gamut of waste management, recycling and infrastructure cleaning services to Dubai’s Al Mizhar 1, Al Mizhar 2, Muhaisnah 1 and Nad Al Hamar districts. Imdaad added that under the requirements of the contract, it will deploy 11,712 bins of various capacities in the areas it will service.

Jamal Lootah, Group CEO of Imdaad, said: “This cements Imdaad’s standing as an FM partner of choice for government organisations and businesses in the UAE. Our stellar track record in providing excellent services that fulfil our customers’ needs to their fullest satisfaction has always enabled us to win their trust and confidence in our capabilities.”

Imdaad added that its first major Dubai Municipality agreement, as part of the My City My Environment Phase – 1 project that ran from 2012 to 2017, saw it provide integrated waste management services to over 10,000 people along with recycling services that involved the collections of 150 metric cubes of recyclables per month. The company’s second contract with the entity, for cleaning services rendered across 14 of Dubai’s largest industrial areas, is still ongoing.

“Further strengthening our long-standing relationship with Dubai Municipality, our trained and committed professionals will deliver market-leading FM services in Dubai’s four districts, thereby contributing to the city’s efforts to enhance the urban experiences of its residents and visitors,” Lootah added.
